A hot water spout attachment is on hand to deliver hot water for tea or infusion. Where to start with the De’Longhi Eletta? Well, as we alluded to above, this is a machine that promises a lot, and is probably slightly above average in terms of price for a machine of this calibre – so how does it justify the expense?

For the freshest coffee I would highly recommend you use fresh beans where possible, but if for some reason you can’t, then you can also use pre ground coffee in the Eletta Cappuccino. Overall, there wasn’t much to dislike about the De’Longhi Eletta. A few of the online comments you can find do mention that drinks such as Flat White that have a large amount of milk in, can be warm as opposed to hot. The grinder in question here is a burr conical grinder – these are the best grinders, much better than the metal blade ones which ‘chop’ the beans. A burr grinder will crush the beans, meaning you get a more even grind. It is also adjustable so you can select a different grind size for different drinks and for different types of bean.
