About this deal

It's the one on "Hits Back" (just listened), although the title gives no indication that it was the single or remix or IDEK.

Some of the technologies we use are necessary for critical functions like security and site integrity, account authentication, security and privacy preferences, internal site usage and maintenance data, and to make the site work correctly for browsing and transactions. A widespread critical success, it has often been mentioned by critics as one of the greatest albums of all time. Sony UK would not let the original stampers out for that last one Tim Young cut, even though they don’t have a pressing plant anymore. It was intended to be given away through a promotion with NME, but was added to the album at the last minute after the deal fell through. All image and audio content is used by permission of the copyright holders or their agents, and/or according to fair dealing as per the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. and it's an eternal religious schism about whether "Sound System" is the greatest thing evah or a piece of crap. However he also had a random side one/two, two side three/fours, and one inner sleeve (for side one/two).

It is widely regarded as the band’s greatest moment and one of the best albums to ever be committed to tape. The album's subject matter included social displacement, unemployment, racial conflict, drug use, and the responsibilities of adulthood. Big full house shaking bass and crisp clear vocals that fill the room, zero harshness; can be turned WAY up like these songs deserved to be without fatiguing the ears. Bouncing from hard rock (the apocalyptic vision of the title track) to rockabilly ("Brand New Cadillac") to reggae ("Rudie Can't Fail") to pop (the Top 40 hit "Train in Vain"), The Clash knocked down all musical walls. It's been awhile since I've played my copy of the EU Tim Young cut, but I don't remember anything negative about it, and I've been listening to this album a long time.

Review: In 1969 Soft Machine were truly growing into the otherworldly entity they're best known as now, moving on from the more psychedelia-rooted sound of the debut album into the broader expanse presented on Volume Two. A crucial piece of any punk rock collection, and a constant reminder of the power of music to challenge and inspire. The album received unanimously positive reviews and was ranked at number eight on Rolling Stone's list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time in 2003. Language - Regardless of country of origin all tracks are sung in English, unless otherwise stated in our description.

The remasterting work that resulted in "Hits Back" is the same that was done to produce the "Sound System" box. Obviously his newer cut is going to be quite different from the original because it's decades later and probably at a different studio with different gear.
